Does anyone feel like it’s already the dog days of summer? I can’t believe how hot it is already- this week is supposed to hit 100, and I am NOT here for it! If you’re looking for a break from the heat wave, but aren’t traditional members of a neighborhood pool (or you don’t have one 👋🏻)

Here are some great pool (or Water Related Activities) for beating the heat!

City Park Pool (FoCo) – Oldie but a Goodie. If you go at open, make sure to line up early as it tends to fill up right at the opening time slot. Entrance Fee-$8-10/pp*Get a pass and you can go all summer long! https://www.fortcollins.gov/Parks-and-Natural-Areas-Directory/Parks/City-Park

Raindance Pool (Windsor) – A Little Birdie told me you can actually get into this pool without a membership and without living here. But It ain’t cheap- Cough up $20/pp – but cheaper than driving to Water World! Go with a Raindance Resident and it becomes $10/ pp.https://raindancecolorado.com/about-raindance/river-resort/

Discovery Bay Pool (G-Town aka Greeley) – Dinosaur Themed Water Park .. need I say more? Worth the drive. Admission is $7 for Adults, $6 for Kids, $3 for Kids 3 and Under https://www.colorado.com/greeley/discovery-bay-outdoor-waterparkChimney Park Pool – The Outdoor Option in Windsor, $18 for a family of four! This pool has been around a long time, but who doesn’t love a simple pool?  https://www.recreationliveshere.com/166/Chimney-Park-Pool

Centennial Pool (Greeley) – Outdoor pool with a GIANT slide and splash pad, Admission is $7/adults, $6 for Kids, $3 for Kids 3 and Underhttps://www.colorado.com/greeley/centennial-outdoor-pool

Winona Pool (Loveland) – Apparently they have a 110 ft water slide and a Diving Board and the pool is slightly heated! Admission is $5-$10 https://www.lovgov.org/services/parks-recreation/aquatics/winona-outdoor-pool

Indoor Pools are Still Cool –

Here’s the best indoor spots when the outdoor ones are packed (and Less Sun Screen Needed)

Great Splash Pads-Timnath Community Park (Timnath)- Fossil Creek Park (Fort Collins)-Trailside Splash Pad (Fort Collins) -Island Grove Splash Pad (Greeley)-Fairgrounds Park Splashpad (Loveland) -Wellington Community Park (Wellington)

Who needs to head to Denver for Water Recreation when we have so much in our backyard?

So grab the towels, load up the car, and explore a few new spots this summer. You might just discover your family's new favorite tradition.

See you poolside!
