(Early) NoCo Fall Activities This August!

It’s AUGUST and finally back to school! I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been craving a shift. A shift of season, of schedule, and of activities! Summer’s been great and all, but ready for that cooler fall(esk) weather, and back to Football and harvest activities. While we are still too early to end summer, I’m going to call it “Early Fall,” since we’re right there!
There is a TON going on in August so let’s dive in to what’s going on!
Loveland’s Sculpture in the Park- August 7-9: Hosted every year, this artful experience is coming to Loveland’s Benson Park the second weekend in august! Come check out hundreds of sculpures in all different medias from all over the country.
Fort Collins Peach Festival: August 15th, 2026: It doesn’t feel like end of summer in Colorado without Palisade Peaches! While this festival isn’t on the western slope, the fort Collins festival is a close second. Located in Downtown FoCo at Civic Center Park, come enjoy peach themed everything, with live music, vendors, and (peachy) beer to boot! Entry is $10/adults and kids under 12 are free (apparently 13 year olds are considered adults..!)
https://fortcollinspeachfestival.com Loveland’s Annual Corn Roast Festival- August 21,22: Hosted at the Loveland Fairgrounds, come get your corn on with vendor booths, food trucks, live music and kids activities. Also, there’s the corn shucking contest, duck race, cornhole tournaments, and a freaking parade. I mean, it’s got the JUICE!
Tour De Fat: August 29th – coming up at the end of August is Tour De Fat! Many like to partake with the fun day of beer, bikes, and costumes and it’s usually right around Labor Day Weekend. Even parents and kids like do the tour – so get excited and figure out your costume soon!
https://www.newbelgium.com/events/tour-de-fat/ Canvas Community Classic – August 29, 2026: If you’re looking for some early season football and want to support the local High School Football teams, come to the Canvas Community Classic, which is also hosted at CSU Canvas Stadium. This is the weekend prior to the Border War, and is a blast! Come and watch one game, or stay for all of them (most/all of the high school teams play that day.) Tickets start at $16, and kids and high school students (with School ID) get to go for Free!
CSU Football Season is Back: September 5th – Border War against the University of Wyoming Cowboys on September 5th. I know, I know, I dipped into September. But you’ll want to save the date since this one is being played right here at Canvas Stadium in Foco. Other Games are listed below and are starting right around $25/ticket, so plan ahead! Also, if you’re looking for a good hack that has worked well, surf around Ticketmaster, vividticket, and others for good discounts on tickets to these events and more. https://csurams.evenue.net U Pick Sunflowers: Anderson Farms August 1-23: If you want to get your family photos out of the way and want a cool background, or just want to meander through thousands of Sunflowers, check out Anderson Farms for the beginning to middle part of August! Admission is $12/ pp! Bring home a bag or bucket of Sunflowers for $12 to $25. They also have themed sunflower days (Superhero day: August 9; Or Unicorn Day: August 15). https://andersonfarms.com/u-pick-sunflowers/ As you can see, there are a TON of events happening jumping into August! I know August tends to be a bit crazy with back-to-school, so if you want to hit any of these events up, I suggest scheduling these in the Calendar Now!
Happy August! Let me know if you'd add anything else.
